What do I do if I don't own a mountain bike?
You can rent a mountain bike from Blue Mountain. They have a whole fleet available for a super reasonable cost. You can reach the Adventure Mountain Bike Centre by calling 705 445 0231 - ask for the bike school!
I have never been on the trails - are your camps for me?
Yes - did we say yes? When we say all ages and ability levels - we mean it. Because we have so many instructors we are able to really break down the groups in ability levels that work. If you have never been out on the trails don't be intimidated - sign-up - our promise to you is a positive and awesome experience. You will leave our camps blown away by what you have accomplished!
What kind of equipment do I need to take one of your camps?
You need a mountain bike in good working order and a helmet that fits. We highly recommend getting your bike in for a spring tune-up before arriving at Blue Mountain. This way you avoid any technical issues when you start the camp! Sporting Life have a great service department - visit their website for locations.
How does the two day camp flow?
On the first day everyone does the same thing and we program it like the one day camp above. This way we get you up and running and riding your bike! On the second day you get to choose the courses you want to take. We send out an e-mail before the camp and you customize the second day to reflect what you want to learn. See the two day camp link for all the different options - there is a lot to choose from!
How does the one day camp flow?
We break off into ability levels in the morning and stay on-site at Blue Mountain all morning. Then in the afternoon we drive to 3 stages (15 minute drive from Blue) and put all the skills to practice. After the group rides we head back to Blue hand out door prizes, drink coffee and answer any other questions you might have! Its a full-on social day and lots of fun!
Is there anything for my husband/boyfriend to do while I am at the camp?
Oh yes! We are working with Blue Mountain to put together some golf & mountain bike packages for the guys! We can't leave them out - so check the latest news link on our site. These rates and packages will be available for viewing really soon!
My daughter and I want to come together - is 12 too young for your camps?
Our cut off is around the age of 12 - so much depends upon the maturity level of the person. E-mail us ahead of time. Last year we have several younger women attend and they had so much fun! Below 12 is a bit young for our day - however we can recommend several alternatives.
I want to buy a jersey but not join the club - is this possible?
Yes. Our jerseys sell out early each year and we order a limited supply. If you really want one order early to avoid disappointment. You will be able to buy jerseys through the on-line store soon. If you can't wait you can fax in an order form - available in latest news. Our design is brand new this year and is not available through any retailers. Next year the jersey will be sold worldwide through Louis Garneau.
I have to change dates - can I do this instead of a refund?
Yes. We have 5 camps running this summer so this is super easy for us to do just let us know!
I have to cancel - what's your cancellation policy?
We have a strict cancellation policy. Thing is food, swag and instructors all have to be organized and paid for ahead of time. Events run rain or shine. Refund of camp price minus 25% processing fee available up until 3 days before the event. At this time there is no refund available no exceptions.
Where can I stay?
We work alongside Blue Mountain and each year they give our camp attendants a preferred rate. Check out the website under latest news for an update on what the rates will be and how to get them.

So I have signed up - now what?
You will receive an e-mail confirming your spot in the camp. Then an ability level questionnaire will arrive in your in-box about 2 weeks before the camp. One week before the camp we send you a Welcome kit that includes: directions to Blue Mountain, location of registration, what to bring list, our contact information, etc&
My girlfriends and I want to be in the same group - is this possible?
Well that depends. You all would have to be the same ability level in order to facilitate this request. Just make sure when you send in your registration that you let us know in advance. Changing groups on the day of the event is difficult.
What if I underestimated my ability level?
No problem. We spend the morning working on skills so if you find you under or over estimated you can easily hop into another group! All you have to do is talk with your instructors and we will move you - it's that simple.
How do you determine ability levels?
We send out an e-mail questionnaire to all camp attendants. Its detailed and helps us determine what ability level you are. When you arrive at registration you will already be assigned to a group in your ability level.
I have quite a bit of experience - do you have instructors that teach more advanced skills?
We do. Fly Gurlz has been in operation for 9 years and believe it or not we have team members that have been racing and teaching with us since day one! Expert riders like Kathy Watkins & Heather Pardon have so much knowledge to impart. Not only are they good riders but they are excellent teachers and that's what really counts.
